Dr. Brentz is proud to be a board-certified otolaryngologist with subspecialty training in pediatric otolaryngology. She is originally from Marietta, GA and graduated from the University of Georgia with high honors and as a member of the Honors Program. She went on to complete medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, where she was a Presidential Scholar and earned two scholarships. She then transitioned to The University of Alabama at Birmingham to complete her residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. During her time at UAB, she published 13 peer- reviewed journal articles. These were presented at various national conferences and she received a resident leadership grant in 2017. During residency, she found her passion caring for children and went on to pursue a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at The University of North Carolina. Dr. Brentz is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery.
She recently settled in Tampa with her husband and two dogs. They just welcomed a baby girl in August of 2019. In their free time, they enjoy college football, heading to the beach, fitness, travel, and good food and company.
