Samanta (Sam) Roopnarain is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She moved from Orlando to Tampa in 2007 to attend the University of South Florida. She graduated with her bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from USF. Sam has always had a devotion for taking care of children. She became a certified pediatric nurse while working at Tampa General Hospital before she started practicing as nurse practitioner in 2015. Although she is a family nurse practitioner and can work with patients of all ages, she continues to pursue her passion of working with children. She has previously worked in the specialties of pediatric neurosurgery and critical care. She is certified in basic life support and pediatric advanced life support. Sam is currently a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Tampa Bay Advance Practice Nurses Council. Sam’s goal is to give the most compassionate care to her patients and families.
Sam has a love for traveling around the world and learning about new cultures. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as recreational activities such as biking and running.
