Bethany Baker is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She is originally from Nashville, TN, where she double majored in Biology and Nursing. During her time as an undergraduate, Bethany received a National Science Foundation Award for collaboration on a genetic sequencing research project. She also was awarded as a National Medical Fellowship scholar in which she helped provide medical care and education to underserved communities in Nashville. She established a Global Nursing Committee while serving as the Student Nurses’ Association class representative and succeeded in creating a medical mission trip to underserved communities in Guatemala. Being drawn to Florida, she decided to move to Tampa to complete her graduate degree at the University of South Florida. She completed her master’s in 2016. She has published two peer-reviewed articles. Bethany has always had a heart for working with children, and she worked as a pediatric nurse for 3.5 years at both Vanderbilt Children’s hospital in TN and locally at St Joseph’s Children’s hospital. She has been working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Tampa for almost 3 years.
In her spare time, Bethany loves to hang out with her fiancé and their two dogs. She also enjoys running, practicing yoga, and cooking. Her top priority is making sure she provides quality care with compassion to all her patients.
